di Modica administratively pertains to the municipality of Modica,
and is a mainly summer resort. The numerous shops and structures
are mostly closed during the other seasons and the village empties.
Yet, for who is not so fond of summer crowds and mass tourism, that
is the perfect period for a relaxing and quiet vacation, with a
milder and comfortable temperature than the inland, even in winter.
 Marina
di Modica is well-known as a little "surfers' paradise",
due to its specially favourable winding conditions. Surfers and
windsurfers from the all South-East Sicily fill the little bay all
the year.
Numerous
hotels located right in proximity to the village, and the presence
of shops, night clubs and discos render Marina di Modica also the
