 From
Scoglitti to Marina di Modica, about 50 km of coastline, various
in geographical and architectural aspect. There alternate sand and
low rocks, on the one hand, and tourist modern resorts and picturesque
old fishing villages, on the other.
The
territory, especially over the last fifteen years, has notably (sometimes
perforce) been equipped with tourist facilities,
which allowed to boost the flow of visitors, especially in summer.

not ever perfect results are, sometimes, nearly stunning. That is

hotel structure, horribly designed, was erected and left uncompleted

a natural reserve by the Irminio river, in proximity to Marina di
Ragusa, offering dramatic effects.
 The
beaches, crowded with people in summertime, were once characterized
by huge and splendid dunes of sand, afterwards "mysteriously"
missing (the sand was used as a building material).
Still,
they remain beautiful, with finest sand, gold-looking under the
often strong and direct sunlight,  sometimes
veiled by clouds and arising tremendous light shifting effects on
the water; this is a spectacle which characterizes all the South-Eastern
coast of Sicily.
The
vegetation shows natural, wildlife richest quagmires, carob-trees
and vines, for which sand is the most proper and natural ground.
 Anyone
may find his own place and time here and choose between a quiet
or a wild vacation.
Lovers of discos and night life cannot help to visit Marina di Ragusa.
Who prefers a relaxing vacation may instead spend his time in Sampieri
or in Donnalucata (yet rich of structures and nightclubs).
 Spring
and autumn are two special seasons here for who wants to spend a
really different time. The mild temperature easily allow you to
swim, surf and sunbath even in these low-season periods, far from
the mass tourism.
 Then,
summer or winter, anyone may enjoy the delicious flavours and the
affable receiving of the numerous typical restaurants, located everywhere
along the coast, specialized in fresh fish based cuisine.
Walks
on endless, characteristic promenades, in front of tremendous sunsets
and sea views, and excursions in the close interior towns of the
province complete your unforgettable vacation.
