under the administration of Vittoria, Scoglitti is an interesting
fishing and tourist resort.
 It
is characterized by typical events, such as amusing afternoon fish
auction and the religious feasts of the Patron, San Francesco, and
the procession of the "Madonna di Portosalvo".
 Scoglitti
is well endowed of tourist facilities, like hotels and restaurants,
and, like most other coast towns, has been notably developing over
the last decade.
Tourism and agriculture, hothouse especially,
represent the main economic activities.
