The
province of Ragusa, the smallest and youngest of all Sicilian provinces,
is situated in the south-western side of the Island on an area of
1600 square kilometres, with a population of about 300,000 inhabitants.
Its
landscape, traditions, sea, history make it an amazing and demanded
itinerary, for tourism or research, not so distant, in its characteristics,
from that wider and as much unique of the whole island.
In
fact, it is to the overall Sicilian picture that the province is
referred for geographic, architectonic and, obviously, historic
aspects.
Nevertheless,
as well as the other ones in Sicily, the province of Ragusa maintains
its own typical and identity traits, that everybody may capture
and enjoy visiting it.
We
will draw out, also through the aid of pieces of writers and researchers
who so fully described it, an as far as complete and clear picture
of the province to offer to visitors, emigrants, students and ...
net travellers.
