 Vittoria
is, economically, likely the most prosperous town in the province
of Ragusa, and among the first in all Sicily.
 Agriculture
enjoys here rare level and fertile grounds, so that the whole territory
is intensively exploited and boasts the presence of an important
market which favours the commerce of any kind of rural products:
fruit, vegetables, cereals, etc. Besides, a larger market is already
planned.
It
is remarkable, among fruits, the production of grapes and must,
through which the delicate and renowned "Cerasuolo di Vittoria"
and "Villa Fontane" wines are obtained.
A
parallel market of flowers is worth mentioning.
Of
recent, industry has been notably developing, especially that connected
to agriculture. The richness of the town is evident in the lowest
level of unemployment.
